Canon MG5720 Wireless Printer Setup

The scanning, printing, and copying capabilities of the MG5720 Standard MFP are minimal. Since there is no USB Type-A port or memory card slot,

you won't be able to publish from a USB key, a PictBridge camera connected via USB cable, or even a memory card.

The printer, like many recent Canon.com/ ijsetup models, supports Wireless PictBridge, which Canon claims is found on all of its new camera models with wi-fi.

It isn't found on virtually all cameras from various manufacturers.

Beyond the Basics, the MG5720 provides cellular scanning and printing, as well as the ability to publish from individual websites.

Link it to your own network with wi-fi, and you can send scans and documents to iOS, Android, and Windows tablets and computers via an access point in your device.

Even if your device is connected to the internet, you can print via the cloud, and you can use the Canon Printing Software on your smartphone or tablet computer to

automatically send print jobs directly to your printer from different sites, such as dropbox, Google-Drive, Facebook, Twitter, and more.

If you connect The MG5720 to your PC via USB cable, you won't be able to print from the cloud or directly from websites, but you will be able to print from and scan to mobile phones by connecting directly to the printer with Canon's equivalent to wi-fi Direct. Using an automatic duplexer, document management goes beyond the basics. There is a letter-size flatbed scanner, but no automatic paper feeder.
